Lucas Presses CFTC Chair on MF Global

On the final day of February Congressman Lucas called the House Agriculture Committee to order and held a public hearing to review the 2012 agenda of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) as the agency continues to investigate the collapse of MF Global. Lucas pressed CFTC Chairman Gary Gensler on the strength of customer protections in place in light of the collapse of MF Global. Lucas Calls on Obama to Act on Energy Plan

Congressman Lucas has called on President Obama to join House Republicans in moving foward with an all-of-the-above energy plan that reduces costs for America's farmers and ranchers, creates jobs, and improves our energy security. Recently at a press conference, President Obama stated that "the only way we are going to solve this with an all-of-the-above strategy," yet he failed to offer any new solutions to increase American energy supplies and help make prices more affordable. Ag Chairman Frank Lucas Addresses Missing MF Global Funds

This week during The Ag Minute, Chairman Frank Lucas discusses the efforts of the House Agriculture Committee to uncover the whereabouts of the roughly $1.2 billion in customer funds that remain missing from bankrupt MF Global, and to determine who is responsible for these losses.
