American Energy: Obama’s Actions Speak Louder Than His Words

President Barack Obama has been hitting the campaign trail hard touting his administration’s “all-of-the-above” energy policy. Unfortunately, when it comes to domestic energy, his actions speak louder than his words. Recently the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed New Source Performance Standards for power plants. This new rule would prevent the construction of any new coal-fired power plants. Lucas Emphasizes Importance of Giving Job Creators Access to Credit

WASHINGTON – Congressman Frank Lucas spoke on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives in support of H.R. 3336, the Small Business Credit Availability Act. The legislation will ensure that community banks can continue to responsibly manage risk and provide credit to America's small businesses. Lucas Presses CFTC Chair on MF Global

On the final day of February Congressman Lucas called the House Agriculture Committee to order and held a public hearing to review the 2012 agenda of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) as the agency continues to investigate the collapse of MF Global. Lucas pressed CFTC Chairman Gary Gensler on the strength of customer protections in place in light of the collapse of MF Global.
