One Step Forward: House Ag Committee Advances Farm Bill

July 12, 2012 - Farm Bureau Newsroom The House Agriculture Committee on Wednesday approved H.R. 6083, the Federal Agriculture Reform and Risk Management Act of 2012 by a vote of 35-11. “Today marked an important step forward in the development of the next farm bill,” said Chairman Frank Lucas (R-Okla.) in a statement. Washington, D.C. – Congressman Frank Lucas voted on 28-June 2012 in favor of a resolution that will hold Eric Holder, the United States Department of Justice Attorney General, in contempt of Congress for his failure to comply with subpoenas issued by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
